Training Yorkshire Terriers can be frustrating. It can also be a hassle trying to get them to do what you want them to do. So, what I'm going to do is share with you some tips on training a Yorkshire Terrier. That way, you will be able to train your Yorkie the easy way.The tips on training Yorkshire Terriers are:
1. The first tip on training your Yorkshire Terrier is to
know their personality. Yorkies can learn quickly and they will choose to obey or disobey your command. You have to be consistent, firm and persistent with them.2. Another tip on training a Yorkshire Terrier is to touch their nose and spank them when they're doing something you don't want them to do. If your Yorkie is acting bad, touch their nose and spank them softly to let them know they're not being good.
If you are consistent with this, it will break their bad habits and teach them that when you touch their nose, they're being bad.
3. Minimizing distractions is another training tip for your Yorkie. When training your dog, make sure their aren't a lot of people or animals around. Yorkies tend to be energetic and loves attention. So, if there are too many people or animals around, your dog will think it's play time and won't listen to your commands.
4. Using treats is another training tip. Whenever your Yorkshire Terrier performs a trick or command, make sure you reward them with a treat.5. The fifth tip is to train your Yorkie yourself. This is something you should do. It requires you to be consistent and firm. But don't worry. You will enjoy training your dog. It's fun.

There are dog beds available that are specifically targeted at dogs that like to chew and gnaw their own beds. No dog bed is indestructible however but a destructive dog would not be suited to a mattress type bed with a soft filling.
