How should you embark on the puppy training? This can certainly be achieved in a matter of weeks but it depends on you and how much time you can afford. There is no need to train it for hours and a lesson of few minutes but on a daily basis is needed. The first thing that should be done is to train the new puppy to learn obedience along with various commands including sit, come, heel, stay and fetch. Once it becomes expert in all these then you can proceed to the next stage of puppy training. As they grow up it becomes easier for you to train them to guard. You should arrange devices like large rings, artificial fences for puppy training. As a Rottweiler puppy belongs to a tough and hardy breed it can ran at a great speed and will learn the necessary tricks to play with these devices within days. Beside it has well developed genetic guarding and herding instincts, in accordance with prey drive. This enables it to learn everything like guarding in the night, identify the door or alarm or fire bell, differentiate between the family members, domestic helps and outsiders. Beware to make it friendly with the children.
